State 14 Hr Continuing Education Course

STATE OF FLORIDA PLUMBING CONTRACTORS - 14 hour Continuing Education Course

Reminder to all Plumbing Contractors holding a State of Florida License, you must complete your required 14 hours of continuing education before you can renew your license. The Plumbing Contractors Association will be holding a 14 hour continuing education course covering all of the required areas on April 14th and 15th. You may contact the office (305) 662-9671 to reserve your seat. Please note that the State of Florida will not renew your license unless you have completed and submitted your continuing education.

Thomas Watson Pca President I want to welcome and say thank you to everyone that visits the Miami-Dade County Plumbing Contractors Association's website.

As the current President of the Plumbing Contractors Association, I want to assure all of the  members and anyone considering membership that the leadership works diligently to make your participation count in a meaningful way. From my experience, Southwest Plumbing Services has been a Contractor Member for the last couple of decades and we feel that if you take the time to participate, the benefits are well worth the minimal costs of membership.

The Plumbing Contractors Association is a Not-for-Profit organization that survives solely on the dues and participation of its members. We are actively seeking new Contractor members as well as Associate members from related businesses of all kinds that will benefit from networking within our organization.

Our mission is to promote causes and policies to improve the local plumbing industry and help our members to successfully conduct business. We offer services, education, and guidance to our member.

The General Membership meets on the forth Tuesday of every month. The meetings typically include a buffet dinner with casual networking time. Then, a brief introduction to a new product or service from an associate, maybe an update from building officials regarding local codes or enforcement policies, followed by a 1 or 2 hour Continuing Education class. This is included in your membership.

The meetings are an excellent opportunity for you to network with local inspectors, building officials, affiliated business experts, and other contractors regularly in attendance. It’s a casual and friendly environment that allows a free exchange of advice and ideas.

Associate members can hold or sponsor continuing education courses that satisfy continuing education obligations for the State of Florida as well as for Miami-Dade County but also enhance the knowledge of products, methods and/or services. Associates are always welcome to schedule a brief presentation to promote a product or service during our General Membership Meetings.

Contractor Members also have access to discounted tuition with ABC's (Associated Builders & Contractors) accredited apprenticeship program. The Plumbing Contractors Association regularly hosts periodic social outings that are great networking opportunities as well plus, we host our annual South Florida Plumbing and Mechanical Trade Show & Expo that is second to none in the area.

If you are considering membership, I invite you to join us as my guest at the next General Membership Meeting and see what we are all about. If you are a current member, I thank you for your continued support and invite you to take s little time to participate with us as well.

Our commitment to you is that we will always work to improve our industry. Your membership will give us the resources needed to act, and your participation will add greater meaning to our collective voice. Thank You!

Best regards,

Thomas “Tom” Watson

Niagara Industries Inc only recently became a member of the PCA (2007) but we have been a regular at the trade shows and show sponsor for many years. In this time we have seen a constant growth in the shows participants and even in the present downturn the show has stayed strong. This is a testament to the strength of the people and companies that make up the PCA. We always look forward to the show and seeing old friend and meeting new ones. We thank you all for you’re continued patronage of our Titan Tankless Water Heater has look forward to seeing you soon.
