Letter from our President....
I want to welcome and say thank you to everyone that visits Miami-Dade County Plumbing Contractors Association's website.
As the current President of the Plumbing Contractors Association, I want to assure all of the members and anyone considering membership that the leadership works diligently to make your participation count in a meaningful way. From my experience, Southwest Plumbing Services has been a Contractor Member for 25 years and we feel that if you take the time to participate, the benefits are well worth the minimal costs of membership.
The Plumbing Contractors Association is a Not-for-Profit organization that survives solely on the dues and participation of its members. We are actively seeking new Contractor members as well as Associate members from related businesses of all kinds that will benefit from networking within our organization. Please help our industry by participating actively.
Our mission is to promote causes and policies to improve the local plumbing industry and help our members to successfully conduct business. We offer services, education, and guidance to our members. Over the last several years , PCA has made great progress and improvements on many fronts but there's much to done and membership and active participation needs to grow to accomplish our goals. The PCA is it's members! Currently, many of our members are in need of qualified technicians and ambitious young people who are willing and able to be trained in our trade. This is a National concern. Over my 35 year career I've witnessed our society create a negative bias towards tradesmen and people who work with their hands. Our schools quit teaching hands on skills decades ago. As a result, we need more qualified people to build and maintain the structures and systems. A strong PCA can and must help on that front. We ask all our members to assist the PCA by participating in our events, our training program and affiliates' programs, our meetings, and by encouraging non-members to join us so that our collective influence grows larger. We ask that you support our Associate members by using them when your business is in need of their services.
The Plumbing Contractors Association is proud to announce that starting January 2014 they will be the location for the monthly meeting of the South Florida Plumbing Chiefs and Code Standards Committee. Gloria Salazar, our Executive Director is the Secretary of this committee. If you have any questions or concerns you would like to bring before the Committee, contact her at (305) 662-9671 or at firstname.lastname@example.org to be placed on the Agenda.
